FOR RENT

Summary: Female graduate student and her companion dog looking for housemate (preferably women or queer folks, but open to gentle men) in a cute bungalow house on a spacious, quiet property near trails and bus station. No other companion animals allowed. LGBTQ+-friendly space. Potential room for a couple, but would need to discuss rent amounts and situation.

Home and Property: The home is thoughtfully renovated to maintain the original home's coziness and charm. $800 monthly rent + $100 to cover ALL monthly utility costs including internet. A two-car garage and washer and dryer are included in the home. The home has a porch with views of the Bear River mountains, a front room with built-in bookshelves and French doors separating it from a dining room with both rooms having large windows for plenty of natural light, a kitchen with floor-to-ceiling cupboards, a full bathroom, linens closet, two bedrooms with good closet space, a mudroom with washer and dryer, and then a basement with a fruit room, lots of storage space, and a home theater room with a large couch.

Property is half an acre. There are multiple flower gardens in the front and side of the house. The fenced-in backyard has a little orchard of three apple trees, a fire pit, a compost, and a produce garden. Landlords have been friendly to changes to property (like adding more garden space etc).

Tenants: Current human tenant is a warm, introverted Sociology PhD student, artist, and environmental activist who spends her non-work time writing, playing outside, watching jumping spiders, or playing guitar.

Dog tenant is a rescue herder mix who loves people but is hit or miss with other dogs and cats, so no other companion animals can live here.

Ideal new tenant would be a kind, clean person who respects introversion and is friendly with the dog (and the human, I suppose).

Location: The home is located in Smithfield and is close to multiple parks, trails, and stores. It is a 10-15 minute drive from Logan depending on traffic, and a nearby bus goes to USU campus hourly. The room can be available as early as Sunday, August 25.

Close to University, large garden with mature fruit trees, across from a small park and the river.
$850 + Utilities Available September 1st, but move-in can be flexible if something sooner is needed.
Full lower level available - 2 bedroom, 1 bath with lots of light, storage, and hardwood floors.
Main level available for shared Living/Kitchen, or an option of a fully independent space.
Shared laundry on site. Shared 2 car garage.
Queer-friendly, Creative-friendly.

Hoping to find a quiet someone ~30+ who doesn't mind living with a musician. My studio will be upstairs and I will be teaching, rehearsing and recording regularly. The studio space is far enough away that it likely won't be very disruptive, and I play mostly acoustic instruments. I also have a small cat that will be outside and upstairs only. The owners will also be staying in the annex on occasion when they are in town. This is a separate part of the house, with its own entrance, though for zoning reasons, we'll need there to be one person only.

IN SEARCH OF HOUSING

I am visiting scholar and I am looking for a female room asp ended to April, preferably close to campus

A Dutch/Swiss PhD student (Dutch by nationality, Swiss by institution-his name is Dieder) is seeking to visit the Rothfels lab late this fall, for some training from Chinedum Anajemba in molecular approaches and bioinformatics. Dieder is looking for housing options for the second half of October and the whole of November(October 16 to November 29). While he has some funds for housing, they aren't sufficient to cover the cost of an Airbnb for that entire period. If anyone has any leads on possible accommodations, please let me know.
