Dr. Burchfield is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environment and Society.  Her research integrates social and environmental data to understand the distributional consequences of changing climate on humans and the environment. Her work relies heavily on geospatial programming and analysis, but also integrates survey and qualitative data. Prior to joining Utah State University, Dr. Burchfield completed a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering at Vanderbilt University.  She also holds a M.S. in Economics from the University of Louvain, Belgium and a B.A. in Economics from Clemson University.
