Emily Chavez is an MS student in Trisha Atwood's Lab. Her research examines the interactions between grazing, plants and ecosystem processes in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta. Emily received her BS at Colorado State University and worked in hydrology and ecology labs during her time there. After graduating she spent time working with the Forest Service in the Columbia watershed basin for the PIBO program. Most recently she worked for the Bird Conservancy of the Rockies as a Habitat Biologist in southern Colorado before coming to USU. When she is not doing research, she enjoys spending time with her dog, climbing, hiking and finding new ways to enjoy the outdoors.
