Ali Farshid

Biography

Ali's research focuses on optimizing stormwater management, mainly green infrastructure (GI) in Salt Lake City, Utah. His research aims to find the best types, locations, and design parameters for GIs that, once implemented, maximize water quality targets, minimize installation and maintenance costs, and enhance social equity and environmental justice. Ali works full time as a civil engineer at the Salt Lake City Department of Public Utilities while completing his dissertation.
