Biography
Major advisor: Tim Walsworth
Austin Garner’s research will focus on studying the individual variation of June sucker spawning phenology and habitat usage in the novel Provo River Delta Restoration Project with Dr. Timothy E. Walsworth. Austin is an alumnus of Utah State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. Here Austin has demonstrated academic excellence and a passion for research graduating as the 2024 Valedictorian of the QCNR and was awarded the 2023 Undergraduate Researcher of the Year. Austin wishes to apply ecological principles and theory to better inform native aquatic species recovery.
