Lauren Houskeeper is a Master's student in Watershed Science advised by Dr. Erin Rivers and a programs assistant for USU Water Quality Extension. She focuses on communicating science to the public through targeted campaigns, community science, and environmental education. Her master's project is to build a statewide training initiative that provides relevant stakeholders education and resources on nonpoint source pollution and the impact of urbanization on stormwater and water quality. She received a bachelor's degree in PR and advertising from Weber State University and a second bachelor's degree in recreation resource management from USU. Lauren is a native Utahn and can be found hiking, paddleboarding, backpacking, and camping with her two dogs during the summer. She is obsessed with geology and will gush about rock formations with anyone who will listen.
