Biography
Aric is an M.S. Fisheries Biology student advised by Dr. Chad Teal in the Department of Watershed Sciences. Aric’s research focuses on a potential thiamine deficiency in Green Sucker (Pantosteus virescens) on the Weber River. Aric is originally from Arkansas where he received a B.S. in Biology from Harding University in 2021. Aric spent a few years after graduating gaining experience while working for various state agencies and universities in Wyoming, Idaho, Missouri, and Utah. He gained extensive experience with fieldwork projects involving native fish species monitoring and restoration. Aric is looking forward to being apart of the USU community and to contribute the conservation of native nongame fish in Utah.
