Biography
Phil is pursuing an MS in Fisheries Biology and is being advised by Dr. Chad Teal. His research is focused on evaluating a Trojan sex chromosome strategy for the elimination of different populations of invasive Red Shiner. Originally from New Jersey, Phil graduated from Rowan University in 2018 with a BS in Biological Science. Since then, he has had the opportunity to work as a fisheries technician in some amazing places in different parts of Alaska and Idaho. He looks forward to contributing to the conservation of native fishes through his work at USU and throughout his future endeavors. When Phil is not in the lab, he is most likely enjoying nature in some capacity or hanging out with his dog, Max.
