Brigham City Rest Stop
The Brigham City Rest Stop is located along the I-15 corridor in northern Utah at milepost 369. It can be accessed via the southbound travel route.
The 0.2-acre pollinator habitat is being established to provide much needed food and nesting habitat for pollinators, recreational and educational value to visitors, and a native seed source for Utah projects. Preparations for the pollinator habitat began in summer of 2023 with the solarization of the site and installation of the infrastructure. Native plant seeds were also distributed on the hillside to the south of the rest stop in the fall of 2023.
Planting of native plants is scheduled for spring of 2024. The plants will be grown in rows by species for the convenience of seed collection (see schematic, below).
