Summer Internship Program - 2 Positions Available
Logan City Environmental Department seeks two students for a summer internship program in partnership with the USU Quinney College of Natural Resources. Work will be diverse and include, but is not limited to, finding unique solutions for recycling contamination, researching, compiling, and organizing information for a forestry project, assisting with public environmental education programs at the Environmental Campus and GIS data entry projects.
The successful candidates will:
- Be prepared to work with the public in a professional manner.
- Feel comfortable working with the public and public speaking.
- Feel comfortable using technology.
- Have the ability to research and compile information. Including verifying for accuracy.
- Must be able to adapt to a variety of roles and responsibilities (e.g., data entry one day and working outside in the heat the next).
- Be available 8 am - 5pm Monday through Friday (with an occasional Saturday).

- This position is for approximately 30 hours per week
Qualifications:
Applicants must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at USU’s Quinney College of Natural Resources (QCNR).
Application process will include evaluation from City of Logan personnel, and be based on the student's progress towards a degree, a summary of student’s career goals, and references (including at least one USU faculty member). Application review will begin on March 16.
Intern Benefits:
- $15 an hour for 30 hours per week
- Interns will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the job site at 153 N 1400 W in Logan, UT.
Number of Openings: 2
Employement Dates: Flexible, not to exceed 480 hours over 12 weeks between early May and the end of August, 2024.
