Dr. Nicki Frey

This year, Dr. Nicki Frey has been selected to join The Wildlife Society Fellows. The honor will be awarded during the TWS Annual Conference in November 2021. Nicki was nominated by USU Wildland Resources faculty Terry Messmer and Mike Conover. As a USU Extension Professor in Wildlife, Nicki serves a variety of stakeholders in southern Utah with creativity and professionalism. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and served The Wildlife Society in many capacities for the 25 years she has been a member.

“Being made a Fellow by a national professional society is a big deal,” says WILD Department Head Karen Mock. And indeed, only 10 candidates are chosen each year for criteria including a “[d]istinguished professional record that includes significant contributions to wildlife resources and the profession.”

Congratulations, Nicki!
